Our CEO, Didier Lopes, was one of the judges at this event and was there to take a closer look at the innovative solutions displayed by the participating teams. Let’s take a quick look at the different projects:
Learn2Finance
The Learn2Finance team crafted a user-friendly platform allowing individuals to curate their equity portfolios. Utilizing OpenBB, historical stock prices are extracted, and relevant news articles are pulled to explain stock price swings. Users can navigate an interface displaying the overall portfolio value and receive summaries of news articles explaining ticker swings within their portfolio.
Financial Analysis Bot
This project centers around a user-interactive bot that analyzes SEC filings, earning calls, and news and social media related to a selected stock ticker. Leveraging data from FMP through OpenBB, users can engage with the bot and ask follow-up questions, gaining valuable insights into the financial landscape.
AP Genie
AP Genie transforms invoice management by allowing users to upload PDF invoices into a web interface. MindsDB is employed to parse the invoices, enabling users to interact with them through a chat interface. Users can ask follow-up questions, such as "How much do I need to pay now?".
Fin-RWKV
Acknowledging the challenges with Transformers Attention reaching its limits, Fin-RWKV offers a cost-effective solution. A fine-tuned version of RWKV, it was trained on the finance-alpaca dataset for a fraction of the cost and time. This tool, combined with real-time data aggregated by MindsDB, provides an efficient alternative for user prompts.
PFVA
PFVA introduces a personalized approach to financial and visual analysis. Users can select tickers of interest and categorize them based on a chosen theme, such as animals. The software then analyzes tickers' profiles and financials, presenting a unique perspective on their relation to the selected theme.
WealthAdvisor ai
This project connects brokerage accounts with an app, utilizing MindsDB to access OpenBB and Wikipedia for financial data. It offers users personalized investment suggestions, incorporates sentiment analysis using news articles, and facilitates communication with the news content within their portfolio.
DebtZero
DebtZero is a custom ChatGPT designed to assist users in overcoming debt-related challenges. Providing solutions and recommendations based on financial inquiries, this tool serves as a valuable resource for individuals striving to achieve financial freedom.
Tradefidence
Tradefidence acts as an AI-powered co-pilot for confident forex trading. By leveraging OpenBB for news and forex data, user trade history, and algo bot strategy, this co-pilot analyzes and improves trading strategies, enhancing the decision-making process.
The winners
It was tricky to choose a winner from all these innovative ideas, but ultimately, the top 3 teams needed to be decided. So, drumroll, please… 🥁
Taking center stage was the Financial Analysis Bot, securing the top spot, closely followed by the impressive FIN-RWKV in second place, and the visionary Learn2Finance clinching the third spot!
